The objects of the Society are:
(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.
(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.
(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.
(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.
(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.
(f) To break people out of the online chess bubble and foster genuine, face to face connections over the board.
(g) To support the development of newer players by helping them learn the game as effectively as possible through guidance, practice, and post game discussions.
(h) To strive to create an inclusive space on campus where chess can be played both casually and in a more instructive fashion.
